Neyer Named 2020 Top Workplace by Cincinnati Enquirer For the third time since 2017, Al. Neyer was recognized as a 2020 Top Workplace by The Cincinnati Enquirer. Participating companies were judged by employee surveys that gauged workplace assets such as career growth opportunities, office perks, employee engagement, and commitment to the community. Al. Neyer won its award in the division for small companies. Why one employee loves working there: “Work doesn’t feel like ‘work.’ We are driving toward common goals and accomplishing great things as a team.” For the 11th year, the Cincinnati Enquirer partnered with Energage to rank the Cincinnati region’s Top Workplaces. The process is based on a scientific survey of employees who rate their workplace culture. It also gives company insights about what makes them unique. Throughout the process, 1,133 employers in the region were invited to have their employees take the survey. Any organization was eligible to participate, provided it had at least 50 employees in the region. Employers could be public, private, nonprofit, or governmental. There is no cost to enter the Top Workplaces program. Al. Neyer has a number of employee benefits, most notably its employee ownership status via an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The company transitioned to an ESOP in 2014 when brothers Bill and Jim Neyer and cousin Dave Neyer transferred 100 percent of stock to the employees.
