Al. Neyer, Inc. to move headquarters downtown

Commercial real estate developer will relocate from suburban Blue Ash on September 24 to 302 W. Third St., an historic building it restored and expanded in 2001

CINCINNATI - David Neyer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Al. Neyer, Inc., today announced that the national real estate development and design-build company will relocate to 302 W. Third St. in downtown Cincinnati. The move will be effective September 24.

Al. Neyer is moving to a 1903 building that once housed the Crown Overall Manufacturing Co. In 2000, Neyer acquired the vacant property and began its restoration into office space. It will occupy the building’s eighth floor.

The building is an important part of the city's architectural and manufacturing heritage, David Neyer said. "It's a signature property, and we're proud to make it our new address.

“Our move will provide opportunities for greater contribution in how the city continues to develop as a place where all kinds of people want to live, work and spend leisure hours. We want to be a greater part of the change, and are inspired by the momentum.

“302 W. Third is a 3-dimensional, living brochure for us.  In many ways, it showcases our passion for architectural preservation and commitment to great urban design and scale. The adaptive reuse of Third and Plum has restored its significance to downtown, and has attracted corporate investment from firms such as BHDP Architecture and dunhummby ltd.

"The move puts us within a few steps of various public and private development and planning groups we routinely work with. It aligns with a growing business segment for us -- revitalizing urban neighborhoods."

Al. Neyer is moving from the
Hawthorne Center office building on Carver Road in Blue Ash.

The Hon. Charlie Luken, Mayor of the City of
Cincinnati, said establishing an urban location is a smart option for companies who value connection to the city. "Al. Neyer is a trusted name in real estate design and development. It's great to have them downtown."

When Al. Neyer restored 302 W. Third, it also added three floors to the top of the original five, offering an opportunity to accommodate larger corporate tenants and expand its commanding presence along Fort Washington Way and Interstate 75.

Tenants include BHDP Architects, Bridge Worldwide and dunnhumby ltd., a consumer marketing company based in Great Britain.

In downtown, Al. Neyer is currently in a development partnership with 3CDC, the City of
Cincinnati and R.M. Kimbler Interests on the Vine and Central Gateway project in the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The mixed-use project includes a 960-car parking garage for use by Kroger Co., 25 condominiums along Vine Street and street-level retail space.

Other recent urban projects for the company include The Historic Ford Factory on Interstate 71 at
Lincoln Avenue, St. Xavier Park at Sycamore and Seventh streets, Delta Air Lines Call Center and Cornerstone at Norwood.
