17 OCTOBER 2008 Laura N. Brunner joins Al. Neyer, Inc. as Executive Vice President of Business Development
In her role, Ms. Brunner directs and oversees all aspects of business development functions, including setting the course for the overall sales/marketing approach of the firm; recruiting and retaining sales talent; evaluating new business and partnership opportunities; and helping identify growth opportunities outside of Greater Cincinnati. Ms. Brunner is a member of Al. Neyer’s executive management team, according to David F. Neyer, president and chief executive officer. Most recently, Ms. Brunner was the managing principal of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker’s (CTMT) Cincinnati and Dayton operations. CTMT is a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm. Ms. Brunner was the first woman to serve as a managing principal at CTMT, where she oversaw 140 employees, including 41 brokers. She led the brokerage’s significant expansion in the Dayton market, and led the opening of a Colliers office in Columbus, Ohio. “Laura Brunner is a great addition to Al. Neyer’s executive management team,” David Neyer says. “She is respected for her capable leadership and team-building,” Mr. Neyer says. “She adds substantially to our bench-strength in our ability to develop relationships and secure new business across all business lines.” “I was an advisor to Al. Neyer several years ago, and now welcome the opportunity to be part of the team that propels this great Cincinnati company into its next phase of growth,” says Ms. Brunner. “I have a true passion for Cincinnati and for the real estate industry. I see this new role as a way to contribute to the City in a more direct way – through the design and development of its built environment.” Al. Neyer’s current Greater Cincinnati development projects include Linden Pointe on the Lateral, a $105 million professional office campus in Norwood; Columbia Square, a $25 million mixed-use office and retail development at Delta Avenue and Columbia Parkway; East Pointe Building 200, a LEED-Silver registered office building in Middletown near Atrium Medical Center; a six-story medical office building and six-level parking garage for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Avondale; and The Herald Building, a three-story, mixed-use LEED-Certified registered building in Avondale. Ms. Brunner earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, and spent 21 years in the public accounting field, 17 as a firm partner. She is involved with a number of organizations, including Downtown Cincinnati, Inc., as a board member, Cincinnati USA Partnership, as a steering committee member, and The Cincinnatus Association, as a member. She sits on a number of boards and advisory committees in charitable or civic-minded organizations, including the Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America; The Playhouse in the Park; and Christ College of Nursing and Health Science. She is the recipient of numerous industry and community recognition – most recently from Real Estate Forum Women of Influence and the YWCA Career Women of Achievement. She lives in East Walnut Hills with her husband, Paul Brunner, and daughter, Haley, and son, Christian.
