Forty-eight regional leaders chosen for community-focused program

Cincinnati - David F. Neyer, president and chief executive officer of Al. Neyer, Inc., has been selected into the 28th class of Leadership Cincinnati, a development program that prepares participants for significant community involvement.

Class members are selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership ability and evidence of community commitment.  Approximately 48 people are chosen and represent a variety of racial, social and economic backgrounds.

Leadership Cincinnati is a program of the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce.

David Neyer is among the fifth generation of Neyer family members who established the company in 1894 and have lead it into its present day status as a leading national commercial real estate developer and design-build firm.  The company is consistently ranked among the region's largest privately held companies and has received numerous industry and community honors for its projects and for its leadership and growth.  David Neyer has been president since 1998.

"I feel both corporate and personal responsibility for the quality of life and success of the Greater Cincinnati community," according to Neyer. "I am fortunate to be in a business that is able to have a high impact on community improvement, and look forward to gaining additional guidance from the Leadership Cincinnati experience."

David was graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  After serving as a project engineer for Keebler Co., he joined Al. Neyer. His project experience at Neyer includes Delta Air Lines Reservation Center, Sycamore Place at St. Xavier Park historic restoration and adaptive reuse, The Historic Ford Factory in Walnut Hills and 302 W. Third St. downtown Cincinnati, to which Al. Neyer is relocating September 24.
