African American Chamber of Commerce
Announces Newest Corporate Member Al. Neyer, Inc.

The Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) recently announced the signing of Al. Neyer, Inc. as the organization's newest corporate member.  Said AACC President, De Asa Brown, "As the African American Chamber increases its involvement in major development projects throughout the city, we welcome the collaboration of industry leaders like Al. Neyer, Inc. We hope our new partnership will lead to new business between Al. Neyer and our MBE members."

"Our experience in urban development has taught us to look at the needs of our community as a whole in order to be most effective," said David Neyer, president and CEO of Al. Neyer, Inc.   "Partnering with the AACC enables us to support the principles of inclusion with action, through access to new relationships and resources in the minority business community.  It makes good business sense to work with the AACC", said Neyer.

Al. Neyer, Inc. is a commercial real estate developer and design-build firm, integrating architectural design, engineering and construction services.  Founded in Cincinnati in 1894, Al. Neyer focuses on urban development, build-to-suit industrial and office properties, and turnkey national market expansion programs for its clients.  The company recently announced it is moving its headquarters from suburban Blue Ash to 302 W. 3rd Street, in downtown Cincinnati.

Al. Neyer is currently in a development partnership with 3CDC, the City of Cincinnati and R.M. Kimbler Interests on the Vine and Central Gateway project in the historic Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. The mixed-use project includes a 960-car parking garage for use by Kroger Co., 25 condominiums along Vine Street and street-level retail space. Other recent urban projects for the company include The Historic Ford Factory on Interstate 71 at Lincoln Avenue, St. Xavier Park at Sycamore and Seventh streets, Delta Air Lines Call Center and Cornerstone at Norwood.

Al. Neyer joins existing AACC Corporate members Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Bell, Cincinnati Public Schools, Cinergy, Coca Cola, Comair, Cintas, Enterprise-Rent-A-Car, Federated Departments Stores, Fifth Third Bank, Health Alliance, Hewlett Packard, Huntington Bank, Kroger, Messer Construction Company, National City Bank, Parsons Brinckerhoff, PNC Bank, Procter & Gamble, Provident Bank, State Farm Insurance, Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America and US Bank.

Over the past three years, the growing AACC has reached several important milestones: the number of Corporate Members has increased from 10 to its current 23; MBE membership has increased by nearly 60%; AACC launched an on-line member directory and the organization has been called upon to play a significant role in local events important to Cincinnati's minority business community, including recruitment of MBEs to work on the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, the Convention Center expansion project and the Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation also known as 3CDC.
