U Square @ The Loop is a $78 M multi-phase, mixed-use residential and commercial development that directly faces the University of Cincinnati campus, named by Forbes as one of the world’s most beautiful campuses. UC is also one of the nation’s top 25 public research universities. The development is located in this “edge” neighborhood that surrounds this world-class university and nearby major medical center including hospitals and a myriad of specialty medical centers.
Towne Properties and Al. Neyer, Inc. joined development forces with Clifton Heights Urban Redevelopment Corporation (CHURC) to secure financing and engage the community with the project. Construction began in January 2012 with retail stores opening in March 2013.
