Global Manufacturer Relocates To Gain Efficiencies At Pennsylvania Business Park

Based in Wayne, Pa., Gardner Denver Nash is a publicly traded manufacturer of pumps, compressors and related products. The company is relocating several options and establishing its global headquarters for its Nash division with a lease at Alta Vista business park in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The park developer is Middle Monongahela Industrial Development Authority.

This Nash facility at Alta Vista functions as the company’s North America operational distribution center. Nash, a world leading supplier of liquid ring vacuum products, estimates this facility allows the company the opportunity to gain greater efficiencies among its administrations, R&D and regional operation.

Al. Neyer was hired by project developer LaCarte Development Company, Inc. to design an efficient facility that functions well and utilizes precast concrete panels, aluminum and glass, offset/stepped panels and curved entry panel, which weave into the overall composition to provide visually manageable scale and depth for a large, 40′ tall building. Features of the building include:

  • 34′ clear height manufacturing area serviced by full-length overhead cranes and column-mounted jib-cranes
  • Skylights throughout both manufacturing area and office area to provide natural light
  • Enhanced roof insulation (R-32) and white TPO roof
  • Office area upgrades include decorative aluminum sun shade at entry canopy, exposed ceiling and ductwork in open office area, upgraded board room ceiling
