Marcellus Shale-related plant needed new manufacturing facility completed quickly

Gardner Denver is a global supplier of liquid ring vacuum products that serves various industries, including chemical, petroleum, power and mining. The company chose its site in Altoona, Pennsylvania because it is midway between the poles of Marcellus Shale activity in Northeast and Southeast PA and had accessible interstate access.

Project Developer Altoona Blair County Development Corp. hired Al. Neyer to design and build the facility based on the company’s reputation of delivering quality product quickly and within budget.

In keeping with Gardner Denver’s corporate philosophy of Velocity, Al. Neyer executed the design-build contract on October 4, 2011 and broke ground on the same day. At the end of 2011, the building was secure and under-roof allowing Gardner Denver access to install crane and machining equipment to meet procurement delivery dates. The building was completed and in operation at the end of February 2012.
