Friars Club Needed New Center to Serve More Youth With Organized Sports, Learning
With a tradition spanning more than 150 years, the Friars Club of Cincinnati decided to build a new facility that would allow it to operate all programming under one roof. Al. Neyer was chosen for the project, which will include a four regulation high school basketball and volleyball courts, a learning center, computer lab, and an adjoining fitness center and wrestling facility for neighbor Roger Bacon High School.
The facility will allow the Friars Club to double the number of youth it serves from 700 to 1400 participants, eliminating wait lists. This building marks the third location in the Friars Club’s history.
Al. Neyer is serving as the project’s design-builder and anticipates completing construction in spring 2014.
