Medical Office at Critical Corner
Two gastroenterology groups formed a venture to offer modern, efficient and convenient health care treatment and screening for disorders of the digestive system. They chose a site for their new endoscopy center in the City of Norwood, a unique triangular that once housed a neighborhood shopping destination, and tapped Al. Neyer for development and design-build services.
Al. Neyer broke ground in early 2008 on Cincinnati Digestive Center, a two-story, 13,700-square-foot medical office building that is home to the Digestive Health Network & Ohio Gastroenterology and Liver Disease Institute partnership. Al. Neyer controlled the site and successfully gained a key easement from the City to gain convenient parking and access. The practice is near Al. Neyer’s Linden Pointe on the Lateral corporate office campus.
Ed Freeman, chief operating officer of Digestive Health Network, says the new center allows the office to provide 500 procedures – such as colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies – per month in four procedure rooms.
“Neyer’s assistance in gaining a key
easement from the City of Norwood for
parking at the site was critical to our
acquisition. Now, we are enjoying a very positive working relationship, working through the steps of both the design and building process.”
