Al. Neyer Helps Keep 400 Jobs In Cincinnati With New Anthem Headquarters
In January, Al. Neyer began construction on Anthem’s new headquarters on Vandercar Way in Oakley Station. The sleek 80,000 SF office building will be the newest addition to the growing development that already houses the nation’s second largest Kroger Marketplace and The Boulevard, a contemporary luxury apartment complex.
Anthem, a major provider of health, dental, vision and Medicare insurance, had been located for many years in East Walnut Hills, another Cincinnati city neighborhood. After Anthem considered relocating its workforce outside of the city, Cincinnati City Council unanimously approved an incentive opportunity to help keep those jobs within city limits. Al. Neyer served as developer on this project, along with partners Vandercar and USS Realty, and is also providing design-build construction services to deliver modern office amenities and an eye-catching exterior. The LEED silver-certified building was designed using an architectural concrete precast with an aluminum storefront and curtain wall window system.
The $21 million, three-story office building and parking garage will be home to 400 Anthem employees when the project is expected to be finished in early January 2017.
